GCYO is blessed with a tireless team of Group Administrators and Volunteers
Group Administrators (aka GAs) and our superb team of Volunteers perform several functions for the individual orchestras. The functions primarily focus on:
providing a welcoming and hospitable environment for the members of each orchestra
assisting new members settle into the GCYO family
providing assistance to the conductor
ensuring the music required for rehearsal is prepared and ready
maintaining an efficient music filing system (a favourite task)
encouraging musicians to set-up and set-down chairs and music stands
provide and serve refreshments to the conductor and musicians
preparing a short synopsis of orchestra activities over the month (for Committee information and follow up)
general assistance at all GCYO concerts and events
