Gold Coast Youth Orchestra

Where Music Comes Alive

Our People

The Gold Coast Youth Orchestra is a not-for-profit organisation, primarily funded through member fees and contributions from sponsors. Our home is the Youth Orchestra Centre (YOC) located at Community Drive, Ashmore. Opened on 29th November 1992, the GCYO building was designed specifically for music rehearsals. It is also used for concerts, auditions, tutorials, business meetings and is the home to other community music groups. The YOC is available for hire, please refer to Venue Hire. The GCYO is governed by a Constitution, which determines the manner in which the GCYO may conduct its business. The caretaking role for the GCYO business is managed by a Management Committee, which is elected each year at the Annual General Meeting.
