The Gold Coast Youth Orchestra is a not-for-profit organisation, primarily funded through member fees and contributions from sponsors.
Our home is the Youth Orchestra Centre (YOC) located at Community Drive, Ashmore. Opened on 29th November 1992, the GCYO building was designed specifically for our rehearsals. It is also used for concerts, auditions, tutorials and is home to other community music groups. The GCYO is governed by a Constitution, which determines the manner in which the GCYO may conduct its business. The caretaking role for the GCYO business is managed by a Management Committee, which is elected each year at the Annual General Meeting.
